VR software for small psychology practices
With several clinicians in one practice, the key question is how many need a headset at the same time. VRET provides team access with software licensing sized around the number of devices you use.
30 minutes to review the product, equipment and your practice's needs. You do not need a headset for the call.
What to decide before choosing a platform
VRET team · Updated September 10, 2026
01Share a headset or run simultaneous sessions
Sketch a working week and mark the appointments likely to use VR. If they do not overlap, clinicians can schedule a shared headset. If two sessions need a headset at once, budget for the corresponding equipment and additional licences.
Include fitting, cleaning and charging time. Scheduling only the minutes inside VR leaves out tasks that affect the next appointment. Test the arrangement in one room before expanding the number of devices.
02Give each clinician time to learn the controls
Different scenarios have different options. Before clinical use, each team member should review how to start the scene, adjust the relevant settings and stop the session. Agree on a preparation routine while keeping interventions individual to each client.
Session records support review of the work carried out. Decide what access each professional needs and how these records fit into practice documentation. Using one platform does not mean sharing login credentials.
03Compare quotes on an equivalent basis
Ask for software, additional headset licences, hardware and tax to be shown separately. Compare contract terms, support and setup requirements as well. Team members and licensed devices are different units of cost.
If you already use another platform, list the scenarios and functions you depend on. Do not assume that environments, exposure plans or session histories transfer automatically. Establish how previous records will remain available during a change.
Virtual reality scenarios for your practice
Exposure, relaxation and attention exercises for your work with ADHD. Choose the setting for your goals and guide your patient from your screen.

Exposure
Public speaking
Adjust the audience in front of the lectern and guide the exposure.

Relaxation
Forest walk
Practise present-moment attention on a walk among trees, with adjustable pace and ambience.

Attention and ADHD
School of fish
Practise visual search and tracking a target among distractors.
What to try in your demo
- 01
Walk through two clinicians sharing one headset.
- 02
Review a session and the access each team member needs.
- 03
Compare one, two and four licensed devices.
Also review security and data handling and published evidence. Evidence for a technique is not the same as a published clinical trial of VRET itself.
Questions before introducing virtual reality
Does a four-clinician practice need four headsets?
Only if all four need to use them at the same time. Alternating appointments may require fewer devices. Standard includes unlimited team members and a licence for one headset.
Can we add devices after starting with one?
Yes. Review additional headset pricing and the self-service limit on the pricing page. A deployment across multiple sites needs a separate scope review.
Can we automatically import another platform’s records?
Do not assume automatic import. Review export formats and requirements with both providers, including how you will preserve access to previous clinical documentation.
Is the physical headset included in the subscription?
The subscription is for software. Buy compatible equipment separately and check accessories, availability and distributor terms before finalising the budget.
Software pricing and your next step
| Headsets | Monthly software fee |
|---|---|
| 1 | $119/mo |
| 2 | $188/mo |
| 4 | $326/mo |
Unlimited team members. Hardware and tax extra. See pricing for the self-service limit, annual billing and guarantee terms. Multiple sites require a scope review.
